Very durable! I handle my kindle rather roughly and it comes back to me unscathed!! No scratches, no broken keys/display. Nice design, workable, but touch screen (which is now available) would be nicer just for the fact that you do not turn any pages by accident when switching hands while holding the kindle. I am not very tech-savvy but this was easy to navigate! Very user-friendly and quick to respond! Very easy to read, even in direct sunlight! The kindle comes with a glossary and dictionary and you can even bookmark your pages. Loading onto the kindle is fast and easy! Just wish that the prices of more popular titles were a little less expensive. Many well-known titles and not-so-well-known titles. Good variety of books, in all price ranges. The battery lasts longer if you disable the wi-fi settings when you are not using them. Can go days, and sometime a whole week, depending on how many hours you are reading, without a recharge. I suggest buying the easel for this, because it is rather heavy and starts to become overbearing, and just having the easel option available is so convenient!
